State of Being Alphabet | B is for barmecide

B is for “Barmecide” adj. Illusory, imanginary; such as to disappoint

I had originally intended to do the layers of oil paint as I have but to cover them slightly with the orange/ yellow paint to be illusory – I just couldn’t do it! It was something that couldn’t be undone and I wasn’t sure if I could live with it.

I hope this is interesting for you to look at as I had so much fun trialling new techniques and making a bad decision turn into a great effect! (The red/ pink aura wasn’t meant to be there hehe)

This one will be exhibited at the annual Rotary Club of Werribee Art Show; October 24-26 2014 and available for sale there.
